Mimi Chiu

BSc, DIP(PT), IMS Certified, MCPA

Mimi is the clinic owner and has over twenty years of physiotherapy experience. In 1979 she graduated from the University of New South Wales in Sydney (Australia). In 1980 she obtained her postgraduate diploma in Physiotherapy from the Cumberland College of Health Sciences in Sydney. She has extensive postgraduate training in the areas of manual therapy, gait analysis, core stability, myofascial pain treatments and Gunn intramuscular stimulation. Mimi continues to present seminars and workshops for many businesses and community organizations in the Calgary area. She is an optimistic golfer, skier and hiker. She also participates in violin and tenor saxophone ensembles.

Carmen MacAngus

Carmen MacAngus

BScPT, AFCI

Carmen graduated from the University of Saskatchewan with a BScPT in 2002. She is a certified member of the AFCI (Acupuncture Foundation of Canada Institute).

During her undergraduate studies, Carmen participated in a research study to evaluate the benefits of land versus aquatic exercise for fall prevention in osteoporosis. Her continued post graduate studies include manual and manipulative therapy, core stabilization and the treatment of muscular imbalances. Carmen has a special interest in issues related to women’s heath as well as the treatment of neck and knee dysfunctions. An avid runner herself, she continues to take courses and participate in educational programs for the prevention of running-related injuries. As part of her involvement with the community, Carmen has provided physiotherapy services to provincial track and field events as well as soccer camps. She also recently designed a stretching program for a local swim club. Carmen is a dance enthusiast (primarily salsa, Latin & ballroom) and also enjoys sport climbing, running, mountain biking and skiing.

Joyce Lang

BScPT, RCAMT, CAFCI., MCPA

Joyce graduated from Queen's University with a Bachelors of Science in Physical Therapy in 2000. She has over 7 years of clinical experience in orthopedics and has also worked in acute care and inpatient rehabilitation settings. Joyce has completed many post graduate level certifications in manual therapy, acupuncture, core stabilization and exercise prescription. She obtained a Diploma in Manual and Manipulative Therapy (RCAMT) in April, 2007.

Joyce incorporates a variety of techniques including spinal stabilization exercises, joint and neural tissue mobilization techniques, postural correction and acupuncture. She has special interest in core stability, shoulder dysfunctions, neck and back pain, repetitive strain injuries and sports related injuries. Joyce focuses on the use of injury specific treatment techniques and exercise prescription to restore optimal function and prevent future reoccurrence.

In her spare time, Joyce enjoys running, biking, sea kayaking, hot yoga, pilates, hiking, and camping.

Diane Roylance

Diane Roylance

BSc(Zoology), BSc(PT), FCAMT, MCPA

Diane graduated from the University of Toronto in 1995. She has extensive training in advanced manual therapy as well as neck and shoulder stabilization.In 2003 she completed her fellow of manipulative therapy (FCAMT). An active member of the outdoor community, she is a former competitive rower and continues to be a passionate skier and climber. This experience has provided her with firsthand knowledge to her treatment of injured athletes.

Renee Poloprutsky

BSc(PT), FCAMT, IMS Certified, MCPA

Renee graduated from the University of Saskatchewan with a BScPT in 1995. She achieved the Intermediate and Advanced Diploma in Manipulative Therapy (RCAMT and FCAMT) in 2000 and 2002 respectively. She completed her certificate in intramuscular stimulation in 2000. Renee teaches core stabilization classes and has extensive experience treating spinal related injuries including post motor vehicle accident rehabilitation. She participates in a variety of activities including hiking, yoga and flag football.

Barb Taxbock

Barbara Taxbock

BSc(PT), CAFCI, IMS CERTIFIED, MCPA

Barb received her BScPT in 2002 from the University of Alberta. She is a certified member of the AFCI (Acupuncture Foundation of Canada Institute) and is certified in the Gunn technique of IMS (intramuscular stimulation). Barb also holds a Biomechanics degree from the University of Calgary and has a special interest in gait related injuries. She is an avid runner, having completed her first marathon in 2005. Barb's weekends are spent skiing in the back-country, hiking, mountain biking, and sport climbing.

Sandi Seto

BSCPT, afci, rcamt

Sandi graduated from the University of Alberta with a Bachelor of Science in Physical Therapy in 1986.  She has over 20 years of clinical experience in orthopedics (musculo-skeletal) and sport-related injuries.  Her postgraduate studies include certification through the Acupuncture Foundation of Canada Institute as well as an a Diploma in Manual and Manipulative Therapy (RCAMT). Sandi’s interest in health and wellness has led her to be a certified Advanced Stott Pilates Instructor. She has also received specialized training to conduct Office Ergonomic Assessments.  Sandi enjoys presenting and teaching at various types of business and health organizations.  As an avid runner, Sandi is usually training for a marathon or a trail race but she also enjoys cycling, tennis and yoga.
